Bmw E60 Drivers Airbag Fault

Code: Basic body moduleCurrent Fault CodesA43E:AL PIN72 errorI also find my scan tool cant communicate with Airbag Satellite Left B Pillar 'SBSL' or the Airbag Satellite Right B Pillar 'SBRL' modules. I have heard these airbag modules are slow to respond to a scan tool, but i left the scan running 20 mins and still got nothing back from them to determine if there were any fault codes or not.Anyone had similar airbag problems on a E60? Not sure what caused it but think it came on as soon as the front passenger sat in the seat and clipped his seatbelt. The day before i was spraying liquid air freshner around the seat area and also moved the seat slightly back. Last time i cleared the fault codes.

I checked again today and the 93FC under voltage fault code is no longer there.I checked the battery and the magic eye looked black. I checked the voltage after the car had been in the garage a week and it was 11.7v. On starting up and running at idle the voltage was 14.14v. It looks like the original BMW battery which would make it 4.5yrs old.

How long do BMW batteries last? Would the indication of the magic eye being black and voltage 11.7v after a week of standstill indicate i need to replace the battery?I checked the airbag fuse and it is ok. So is it the case the scan tool i am using Bavarian Technic is not picking up the fault codes for the air bag and therefore cannot reset it? Some weeks prior to the airbag restraint systems fault occuring i was only driving short distances. On the day of the fault I had driven the car 15 mins to pick up a friend and as soon as he sat in the car and clipped the belt in, the restraint systems fault came up.

I am a bit reluctant to replace the battery yet as I have never had any problems starting the car after a week sitting in the garage. So i guess my problem is that i cleared all fault codes and now there are no fault codes to do with airbags showing using my scan tool Bavarian technic, however my idrive and dashboard warnings are still showing. So i think my scan tool has a problem picking up the fault codes and cannot reset the airbag lights like they say it can.Does anyone know what module of the bmw sytem the airbad Restraint Sytems fault is stored in? I am assuming restraint systems is not just airbag but also the pre-tensioners etc.
