Just finished the game and I absolutely loved it. I actually had played this several years ago, but found it very challenging, difficult to understand staff/recipe-wise, and would do well financially for some time but then inevitably end up in major debt.One of the biggest tips I can offer is, the customers are going to complain.no matter what, so accept it One of the only instances when they did not was when one of my restaurants was very sparcely populated with customers and there was not a possibility of slow delivery times. Also, if you have a rude staff, do not fire them and keep hiring new, because you will always have a rude staff especially in the first few restaurants. Invest in training, and they will eventually stop being impolite. Assign chefs to cook specific meals that they are decent at and they will become great over time. When in recipe-view, check out the cost of the dish for you, then arrange your price accordingly. As you get hook-ups to better ingredients, you will need to jack up your prices in order to balance out your profit margin.

Regarding the Cooking Contests, (by far my favorite part), look at the Overall Rating a dish has, (the third figure of three percentages) and the higher it is, the greater probability the dish has of winning. The Mini-Games do help. Oh, and if you are able, it is wise to compete with a dish that is expensive, therefore more customers will buy your award-winning dish. Happy cooking! Hey everyone.

I realize this is kind of late in the game for the first restaurant empire and not sure anyone is monitoring this anymore. But.I'm finding this game very difficult. I've mustered my way through it by failing each level and trying it with easier goals. However when level nine ended I was in a financial deficit.

So I am unable to complete the goals in level ten because I don't have any money to decorate and open wagons. Any suggestions how to get around this? Otherwise I'm afraid I won't be able to complete the game. I can't get a loan because I still owe and don't have any credit left.

(sounds like real life! What I wanted to do was sell a restaurant but I don't see an option for that. Don't have enough furniture to sell to enable me to decorate and open the new restaurant. I would probably have to close down at least two restaurants to do it. I'm thinking I've backed myself into a corner here. Not sure I want to restart the entire game and do it all over again.

But with no other alternatives.that may be the only choice.I think I made my biggest mistakes by buying all those recipes during the game. They want a lot of money for them. The customers that is. I think buying this game might have bitten off more gaming talent than I can chew. Hate to admit that but it's a really tough game. I went to play the sandbox game but it's not as much fun.
